Sunday/Monday Late Social

Sunday Social
Since my Mother was in for the weekend, I didn't have a chance to write-up my Sunday Social until today. But I still wanted to write it, since I really loved these questions!
1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
There is actually a few things that I have been scared to do but haven't done yet. Finish the book I have been working on for about a year. Completely change my career. Take more chances.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Doing a job that I love. Still blogging, possibly for a movie site or even a guest article. Down about 10 pounds. Talking about home ownership. Kids might possibly be a talking point as well.

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
Disney! I am so excited for our trip to Disney World for a late honeymoon/Holiday trip. Andrew getting to go to his first Lions game. Taking a few more weekend trips.

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
For this blog, I just hope to get some more viewers and really see where it takes me as far as networking. For our movie blog, I'm really hoping that we can get a bunch more readers and possibly catch the attention of some bigger movie bloggers or actual movie reviewers!

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
Definitely not. I see us living back in the South. Possibly back in Atlanta or even down in the Carolinas. The living is so much cheaper than it is up here and to be honest we don't really want to raise children here. The way of life on the East Coast is a tough one. The way of life is really fast and the people are hard.
CT house for sale: 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, 1,850 sq ft...$300,000

GA house for sale: 4 bedrooms, 3 bath, 2,592 sq ft...$190,000... RIDICULOUS!!!!

6. What is your morning routine
Get up. Check all my social media outlets. Shower. Fix breakfast. Eat and get ready while watching GMA. I get up pretty early so that my morning is pretty leisurely. I love it!

Fall Bar Night Look

Hello bloggy friends! I have been neglecting the log for a while but I'm back! And it's finally getting cooler outside so I decided to break out this look for a bar night with some friends!
Top, Jeans, Boots: TJMaxx
This is my "Maxinista Look." This Fall shows that half tucking-in your shirt is the way to go for some looks. This is a really long tank-top so I decided to try out the trend.

As for what's going on with us? Well, Andrew and I have decided to get on the fit track. We eat healthy and all that but working-out consistently comes and goes. Since we are heading to Disney in December, we have decided that running needs to start happening more often.

So we have implemented "Skinny by Disney." Both of us hope to tone things up and drop some inches so we can look super fine for the holidays!

I hope that all of you are having a great week! My mom is coming into town tomorrow so there might not be another post for a bit, but I am going to be taking a ton of pictures so I can do a fun post at the end of the weekend. Andrew is currently making me watch "Cabin in the Woods," so much for sleeping tonight...

Happy Wednesday!

"It's Ok," At Least That's What I'm Telling Myself

Its Ok Thursdays
I decided to link-up with Amber and Neely and try out the "It's OK" Thursday link-up!

IT'S OK

That Thursdays are probably my least favorite day of the week. Not quite the weekend yet? Then I have no use for you!

To pout a little bit lot because my husband gets to be in Michigan for the weekend.
It really is one of the most beautiful places in the summer
To seriously consider taking a trip down to New York for Fashions Night Out

That this weekend is going to be filled with work, it will make the time go by faster and hello nice paycheck!

To drink bloody marys and catch up on Real Housewives of NYC

To curl up on the couch instead of doing some yoga

To be sick of staring at a computer screen all day at work and then be a little reluctant to write up a blog post

I hope all of you have a tolerable Thursday and that it goes fast and Friday gets here quick!

eBay Success!

A couple of posts ago I talked about wanting some jewelry and instead of heading to the mall, I fired-up my computer and decided to try out eBay!

After two weeks of waiting for my pieces, they finally came in!
Eagle Claw: $2.50
My new eagle-claw bracelet pairs perfectly with my gold watch.
J.Crew Bubble Necklace: $17.99
This bubble necklace is my new favorite piece!!
This bubble necklace is the same necklace that they sell at J.Crew. It even has J.Crew stamped on it, so to be honest I feel a little guilty about cutting out the middle man! But in the end, something that retails for $150 and $15 is now hanging with my other pieces for a fraction of the price!

Happy Shopping!

Sunday Social End of Summer Edition

Sunday Social

What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?
We didn't really get a chance to take an actual vacation this summer due to our cray cray work schedules, but we did take a day to travel down to NYC for a day that was a lot of fun. We had had a rough week and some friends who had planned on coming up suddenly got called in to work so we were pretty bummed. When Andrew suggested that we go along with our original plans and head down to Manhattan, I half-heartedly agreed. It ended up being an amazing day! We went to Central Park Zoo, down to Ground Zero and enjoyed some food from some awesome food trucks!
Hanging out in the Central Park Zoo
The beautiful sky-line of the city from The Park
Andrew's first look at the Statue of Liberty
The seals performing for us!

Food Trucks! Can't wait to go back and try more!
Favorite outfit look of the summer/clothing item?
I was pretty proud of this outfit. I had, if you remember, been looking for a pleated top for a while at all the department stores. In the end I found the perfect one for me at Goodwill! How crazy is that?! Paired with this bright pink shirt and classic wedges, it was a great summer office outfit!
What is one thing you wish you had gotten to do this summer?
Travel more. I really wish we could have gone back to Michigan to visit family. There really isn't anything like a Michigan Summer night!
Favorite Song of the Summer?
There wasn't so much of a song, but I really got into Mumford & Sons. They will pretty much make-up my Fall playlist as well.
Favorite movie/tv show of the summer?
Political Animals, hands-down. It was only a mini-series, but with an all-star cast (Sigourney  Weaver, Cirian Hinds, etc.) it was such a fun watch on Sunday nights! Can't wait until it comes back next Summer!

Farewell Summer! You have been a busy one but so much fun!
